The founding team at Greenworks developed the first successful commercial PACE platform at the Connecticut Green Bank. We are now scaling the model across the country. Greenworks is investor-funded and headquartered in Darien, CT with satellite offices in Maryland and Texas.

Legal Administration Associate:  
As an active member of the Greenworks Lending legal team, the Legal Administration Associate is responsible for managing day to day legal operations and activities related to the successful closing of C-PACE contracts.  This includes working with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all required documents are accounted for and up to date, and contracts are effectively executed in a timely manner. 

Responsibilities

  • Collect and review documents from commercial building owners in preparation for loan closings
  • Prepare documents for loan closings based off template documents
  • Order and review title reports
  • Conduct bankruptcy searches and order and review litigation and judgment lien searches
  • Respond to borrower questions quickly and accurately; respond to internal requests quickly and accurately
  • Prepare and track NDAs, contracts for service, administration agreements and other agreements; notification of managers around key events (reporting, expiration, etc)
  • Manage, update and maintain a set of legal templates such as NDAs, closing documents, affidavits, etc.
  • Manage and interface with legal and operational vendors, including managing title search companies in all markets, environmental database companies, and other vendors as required
  • Track amendments to standard agreements
  • Review standard documents received from third parties (i.e. NDAs, service agreements, etc) for off market terms

Key Qualifications:

The Legal Administration Associate is ideally designed for a self-driven, detail oriented “doer”.  This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate to explore an in-house legal function. All candidates should have:

  • Experience managing contracts or project management
  • Bachelor’s degree from a top school required, interest or concentration in law preferred
  • Demonstrated legal professional experience or interest
  • Professional legal certification (i.e. as a Paralegal or J.D.) a plus
  • Experience with commercial real estate contracts, mortgages, and/or title insurance a plusProcess and efficiency oriented
  • Ability to independently manage daily as well as longer-term projects
  • Extreme organization and attention to detail
  • Must have excellent communication skills and strong analytical capacity and ability to multi-task and set priorities
  • Ability to thrive in a constantly changing, fast-paced environment
  • High degree of intellectual curiosity coupled with proven ability to execute
  • Ability to learn quickly and pick up complex details

Details:

  • Salary range: $55-70k 
  • Bonus structure based on meeting and exceeding milestones
